Property and casualty (P&C) insurer The Hartford has announced the launch of The Hartford Global Insurer Network, a new, directly-managed network of insurance partners that’s backed by an international technology platform.
The launch sees The Hartford enhance its multinational capabilities, and through the network the P&C insurer will offer insurance protection for U.S. firms in more than 200 countries through both local and regional partners.
The firm’s Head of Multinational Insurance, Alfred Bergbauer said: “For a U.S. company, doing business globally can present a variety of new risks and having the right protection in place to operate in other countries is essential. We are pleased to expand our network of global partners to continue to provide the insurance solutions our customers need around the world and the excellent service they have come to expect.”
The insurer continues to develop its network, which will be made up of over 80 local and regional insurance companies. At the same time as offering U.S. domiciled clients local policies overseas, The Hartford will also service local U.S. policies for clients of its strategic partners.
One of The Hartford’s partners is UK insurer Aviva, which will service the needs of The Hartford’s customers operating in the UK and Ireland.
